Top Strong Man - Tom Magee (1982 World's Strongest Man competition)

Tom Magee was the 1982 World Powerlifting Champion in the superheavyweight division. He placed second in the 1982 World's Strongest Man competition and is regarded as being one of the most versatile strongmen of all time. Magee also won the Le Defi Mark Ten strongman challenge in 1985. His best lifts are an 860 lb. squat, a 573 lb. bench press and 1180 lbs 18" deadlift in a world's strongest man competition in 1983.

He has appeared in several movies and also had a brief career as a professional wrestler.

Super Strong Man - Hugo Girard (Quebec - Canada)

Hugo Girard (born December 20, 1971 in Sainte-Anne-de-Portneuf, Quebec) is a Canadian strongman. Girard is a Strongman Super Series world Champion, a four-time World Muscle Power champion and a six-time Canada's Strongest Man.

Prior to his career as a strongman competitor, Girard worked as a bouncer in a popular Quebec City nightclub on weekends while attending community college. In the early 1990s, he went to Los Angeles in order to either pursue a career as a professional bodybuilder or as an actor. After a few months, Girard came back to the province of Quebec where he was later hired as a police officer for the city of Gatineau.






Super Strong Man - Christian Savoie (Quebec - Canada)

Christian Savoie (born 25 March 1976, Val-Joli, Quebec) is a leading Canadian strongman competitor and entrant to the World's Strongest Man competition on multiple occasions.

Born in Quebec, known as the "cradle of strongmen", and residing in Sherbrooke, Quebec Christian Savoie is by profession a butcher. He began strongman sport at the age of 25 years old. He began o make his mark in 2008 when he won the Quebec cup. That year he came third in Canada's strongest man and then placed second in North America's Strongest Man, he also won the 2009 version of North America's Strongest Man. In 2009 a first place finish in Canada's Strongest Man secured him an invite to the 2009 World's Strongest Man, the pinnacle competition in strength athletics. Although he failed to make the final, he finished fourth in his group in an overall field described as the best ever. He won the 2010 version of North America's Strongest Man and made the 2010 World's Strongest Man.

Strong Man Photos - Dominic Filiou (Canada)

Dominic Filiou (born 14 February 1977) is a Canadian strongman. Filiou is best known for competing in the 2005, 2006, and 2007 World's Strongest Man competitions. In 2005 he finished third in the finals, a career best. In 2006 and 2007 he was eliminated during the qualifying heats. He is the 2007 winner of Canada's Strongest Man making him the first man to defeat Hugo Girard on Canadian soil(Girard was still recovering from a knee operation 14 months prior to the competition).
